URL Management comes in many forms online now. There are link shorteners of both the paid and free variety, link re-direct tools (most of which are NOT allowed in any rotators of any sort), link tracker/shorteners, and they all work a little differently or have particular earning/service feathers.
Bit .ly is one of the most common URL management tools online today. Many social sites such as Facebook will allow bit .ly links. I've had trouble using bit .ly on my "Myspace" blogs and pages, so it doesn't work with every social networking or connection site.
Adf .ly is often seen in PTC/PTR sites and many PTR-PTP and PTC sites do allow links made with this URL manipulator - however - you have to check TOS at the site you plan to promote adf .ly links at or you might get in trouble from using links shortened with this program.
Adfoc .us is another url tracker/manipulator that works much like adf .ly. It is not allowed at many social sites, is banned in many traffic exchange and surf rotators and PTC/PTR sites.
My current favorite URL Manager is Track Ads .biz and I like this service/tool so much that I forked out for an upgraded membership - even though there is no "earnings per impression or view" feature with this one. Track Ads .biz is advertised as a "cloaker" (protects your affiliate links), tracker, banner program (it advertises your Track Ads link while cloaking and tracking other links), and does have a referral program worked in. As well, there are no monthly membership costs - just one annual fee ($20 per year) - so I don't have to deal with a subscription/membership fee coming out of my payment processor every month.
There are other programs (I'll update this page in November), and there are many that are billed as "Paid to promote links" programs. They're legitimate but quite hard to earn from as their earning structure is even of lower $$ per impression or click than PTR/PTC programs. Often, when used to promote your PTP/PTC/PTR links, the combined earnings of the url manager plus ptp link are what will make you earn enough to make use of both programs worth using.
