There are hundreds, thousands, and hundreds of thousands of blueprints for earning money online - some with more rigid plans than others. Many are one-sided - full of up-sells, poorly written, over most peoples' heads - others are outright scams and impossible for almost anyone but their creator to follow. Even really good blueprints for making money online can seem overwhelming to those who have just entered the world of "making money online."
Most people have been involved in "brick and mortar" projects, 9-5 office work, factory and assembly line and other types of "standard off-line jobs" their whole lives. The Internet hasn't been on common use for all that long. Most Internet users HAVE DAY JOBS that are nothing like the more abstract Internet environment. Needless to say, real world and internet environment world differ greatly and there is a learning curve for almost all people using the web who hope to make money via the online environments.
Most 9-5 and Brick and Mortar type skills aren't needed in online environments, however, there are skills that are transferable from one environment to another. The same goes for factory/assembly and office environments.
It takes creativity to find out which offline skills you possess that will transfer well to working in an online environment.
As well - even though there are tools considered "Online Standard Tools For Online Money Making and Marketing," nobody says you have to use them all ONLY in a "standard" way.
For example, some social sites have blogs in their software. If you can't afford hosting and a domain, ask yourself if you have an account somewhere that contains "space" where you can promote. Be careful not to get "spammy" and make sure you are following site Terms of Service for whatever you want to promote and then GET BUSY utilizing whatever tools are at your disposal for free.
Examples of "portal" type spaces online:
Ning sites
Google/Pages, blogs, G+, etc
APSense (blogs, traffic exchange, rev/feature pages)
Weebly (sites, blogs, some community features)
Webs .com (sites, blogs, some community features)
These aren't "Pro" tools, but many have "Pro Account" options that will give you more features/options, space, ability to promote online. None of the big GURU marketers is likely to "like," "thumbsup," or "share" your Ning or ApSense pages but if your content is CONSISTENT, OF GOOD QUALITY, and APPROPRIATE, you will get the attention of people who are interested in consistently appropriate, good quality content.
Be creative in how you use the space that is available for free - meaning PROVIDE QUALITY - not spamming, junk, questionable programs or questionable claims on programs you THINK will bring in riches but have not become a millionaire with as of yet!
Post non-linked content often, let whatever communities you share space in become aware of your small and larger successes. Log in often, share nicely, visit other peoples' pages and get involved in DISCOURSE - not just one-way commenting. Also... look around for useful tools, sites, etc., that you can creatively work into your "set" of money making tools.
Rule of Thumb: If you are NOT CERTAIN that you'll log in and use a site at least on a WEEKLY basis or twice per week - SKIP IT... don't join or use it. (I'm saying this as someone who still has a couple of dozen sites to "remove" myself from - sites I joined before learning why this rule of thumb is important).
Most marketers say you need your own hosting/webspace, domain, autoresponder, products and a few other things in order to successfully make money online. For the most part, I believe this is true - but people have to start SOMEWHERE closer to the "Free sections" sometimes in order to learn what to do with their paid hosting, domains, autoresponder and other tools.
Don't let any marketers bully, shame or ridicule you into PAID SERVICES of any kind until you know enough about how marketing online, tools and services WORK.
By being creative with the tools and services you find online, you can learn a lot, even promote A LOT before moving to a next step of using paid items.

Consistency
When you use incremental earning programs to earn money online - even if these programs are intended as "starter" programs that you'll graduate away from down the road, CONSISTENCY is mandatory!
The great thing about PTR/PTC is that even if you never get any referrals, by logging in and clicking on a consistent basis, your balances earned always increase...slowly but surely.
With most programs, even if you get a lot of referrals under you, there are limits to what you can earn if you don't log in and participate in the programs on a regular basis.
For example, NeoBux ensures a more active member base by requiring certain members (those who are not upgraded) to log in daily in order to receive commissions from referrals. You can have many referrals but not benefit at all from having them at NeoBux.
Another example: some PTR sites require that you log in and click a certain amount of point emails in order to earn from referrals or earn the priviledge of cashing out - even if your cash balance is high enough for receiving a payment.
These aren't scam techniques - they're good PTC/PTR restrictions to ensure that people don't acquire accounts, pay another site to bring in referrals, then do nothing on the original site to participate in earning. (Yes, there are ad co-ops out there and various referral purchase sites that bring referrals to your program - some are banned at certain PTR/PTP/PTC sites, so read the find print and T.O.S. if you decide to use these).

Wellness and Reality
The truth is... you're not likely to make a million dollars overnight, in a week, month or even in a year. You can dream and I don't say this to try and dissuade anyone from dreaming BIG, striving for great things - but if you don't have the capacity to keep yourself on the dreamtrain, stay positive and motivated 24-7 (some people do), you'll be in for repeated disappointments if you don't face reality.
The reality is: Successful Internet Marketing requires effort, tools, skills and know-how. If you don't have these, you can fail very easily at marketing and trying to earn money online with Internet Marketing.
Know what YOUR skills are! Be real. If you have skills, use them. If you don't have skills but can learn some - do so. If you have absolutely no interest in learning certain things, learn the next appropriate skills sets so that you can be successful at earning money online.
About wellness: when you feel well, you do everything better, so keep yourself in good shape, in a good state of mind.
Balance what you're doing with online activities so that these don't interfere greatly with other life activities. You won't want your friends and family to miss you while you're working out your online skills, promoting programs, etc - but at the same time, the people around you need to know you are SERIOUS about your online money making activities.
If you do things with half-energy and only half your attention focused on online earning activities, people around you may think you're only half-serious about making money online. If they learn to believe you're not really serious, they may interfere, infringing upon your focus time.
If you focus too much on online activities that exclude your friends and family from spending quality time with you, you'll create drama and problems in your everyday life experiences. These, in turn, will distract you when you do have time for online money making.
Balance, balance, balance.
And Know, know, know...
Balance your activities
Know your strengths, build up where you find weaknesses.
Be serious... about your strengths and weaknesses, about your reality and goals (create do-able steps and attainable goals), about your life, loved ones, focus, and schedule.

Take Action
Once you decide and commit to the idea of making money online and especially if you are needing to start with free money making programs, you'll have to TAKE ACTION...
You'll have to BEGIN - and then focus and stay in motion with things.
If you've worked on your mind-set and thought through your level of commitment to online earning activities then scheduled time for doing various tasks online, this next step is pretty simple...
Just BEGIN!
Start clicking!
Forget about balances for several weeks. Work with Firefox AND another browser if you're doing PTR/PTC programs. Not all sites and pages will open nicely in Firefox and many PTR sites with PTP Pages will lock up Chrome browser or Internet Explorer.
You may even want to join some Traffic Exchange sites and for these, mostly Firefox browser will be appropriate for opening numerous windows so you can surf 3 to 4 or even 12 to 15 Traffic Exchanges at a time.
I still work with PTR/PTP and PTC programs because as my Internet Marketing skills build, I have need to use PTR/PTP and PTC programs for their affordable ad prices and the fact that most good and reputable sites of this nature have a solid member base of people who show up regularly to view other peoples' ads, pages and offers.

Checklists and Planning
If you fail to plan to include time online for money making, you will FAIL at earning with click programs. I've found that many people prioritize their online activities as very low on a scale of important things to do once they make a decision to try and make money with click programs. This is a huge mistake.
If you don't treat earning online as IMPORTANT and schedule adequate time for being online to click, you will always be disappointed about the balance in your payment processors... likely you won't have anything more than a dollar or two ever in your payment processors.
Treat the collection of money making click programs and your activities at these sites as YOUR JOB. It is correct what most people say - you don't get stuff for nothing. You don't get paid without working. You won't do well if you spend twenty minutes clicking one day, skip a few days then two hours clicking when you feel you can slot the clicking activities in.
If you really want to earn online with click programs, you will schedule in at least two hours of clicking time in 5 days a week like a part-time job. Then you will be patient and understand that you'll be waiting a couple of months to see reasonable balances build up in your payment processor. As well, you will work with at least 20 or 30 programs to reasonably expect to see positive progress with this type of earning activity. Working in even the top 5 or 10 programs on line will not get you far. If you are patient enough to wait a year to see results that most people will agree are impressive, then you can get away with working in just the top 10 rated programs. Most people won't be that patient and most people expect much more money every couple of months, every month or week when they decide to try and earn income online.
Make checklists to keep by your computer to remind you to work through your click program links - then stick to what the notes/checklist details say! If something comes up and you skip a day, make plans to fill in a couple of hours of clicking time on another day or add a half hour to what you had planned for the rest of the week. No activity means no pay.
Following a checklist means - being able to measure some successes, a tool to mentally prompt you to keep moving forward with your online earning goals. I can't tell you exactly HOW TO MAKE your checklists because I don't know what your lifestyle is like but do sit down and figure out how much time you can regularly spend online clicking links and collecting cash. Don't assume that without any list or prioritizing that you'll just remember to log in to earning programs the next time you turn on your computer. You may have any of a number of other tasks appear before your eyes once you boot up your computer the next time... all of these can cause you to forget you were planning on earning some money online.

Commitment To Earning Activities
In order to make reasonable money with click programs online you'll have to make a commitment to yourself to show up regularly, click to earn, and be patient as your accounts fill with funds.
There really are special links attached to pennies, half pennies, tenth of a penny, quarter pennies all over the net. Yes, I know it takes 10 tenth of a penny clicks to equal one penny... That sounds drastically LOW to many people and ridiculously low to others. To those who are really dedicated to making some money online and starting out with close to sure-fire earning online, ten clicks is no work at all to gather and cash in at payment processors!
If I open up six programs in a multi-tabbed browser and click in six different earning programs, in one minute I am usually earning a few cents for all my combined clicks. Yes this is still under minimum wage if you do all calculations and insist on talking in "wage per hour." It's way low for earning value... but - done consistently, it turns into two dollar, five dollar, ten and 30 dollar payments to your payment processor or bank accounts. As well... when you're working with programs from long term legitimate owners, you're going to get paid without needing to rely on the actions of anyone else or any response at all to what you are doing online. You show up - click - show up consistently - click - get paid. You don't have to make an ad, write an article, do anything else. Just show up - click - repeat until you can cash out and get paid.
So I make a few cents per minute in multiple programs, a dollar or two per week (in multiple programs!), and at the end of the month, I request some minimum payment cashouts and have money in my payment processors. Yes, I did a LOT of clicking... but I get paid for it, too? (it is an ILLUSION and pure PROPAGANDA, messages saying "you cannot earn with those click programs" - probably perpetuated by those who want you to buy into THEIR more expensive programs - and those who half-heartedly tried click programs, expecting too much, too soon).
If cashing out from several programs all in the same time period, your diligent clicking shows up in your payment processors as ten, twenty, thirty, fifty bucks!
In the meantime, your other online money making peers who didn't do any click programs but who fell into a bunch of clickbank, product promotion, info-product promotion programs, affiliate sites/programs did many hours of labour as well without getting paid a single cent. They may have even had to purchase training materials first and still are without a cent going back to their payment processors.
Oh, some peers will have, in the same time period, successfully navigated a huge learning curve with learning how to use autoresponders, they built sales and promotion pages, wrote promotional articles and product review articles and such, surfed at free credit traffic exchanges, navigated safelists, text ad exchanges and a whole lot of other things... Some will have done very well for themselves but most who venture into online money making programs DO NOT DO WELL for a long, long time. Also, those who put in some time, got paid a bit, may have put in a lot more time working than you did... with sites that an inexperienced owner decided to SHUT DOWN, so your successful beginner peer may have no sustained income after a month or two.
One thing about click programs... if one shuts down - you can quickly (within MINUTES) find another of the same value clicks and start earning again.
Your commitment will be to yourself... to be patient, show up and gather the money sitting at all the links spread around the web every day, ignore distractions and down talk about the futility of working with click programs (those who say such things, are obviously spending too much time mouthing off, not enough time clicking), and just show up to collect your money!

Mind-Set For Working With Click Programs
When you start out working with Incremental Earning Programs - PTC, PTR, PTR-PTP programs and some of the cash earn Traffic Exchanges, it will be like switching to a minimum wage job online...
In the start phase or beginner phase, it is extremely hard to see where a person is making any money. One thing that helped me set my mind to really earning with these programs was realizing that there really are thousands of dollars sitting online just waiting for someone to CLICK links!
I decided if these PTR/PTC and PTP link programs are so distasteful for other people, this meant: ALL THE MORE LINKS FOR ME TO FIND AND CLICK.
I developed some patience, worked a whole bunch of programs, found long-term legitimate and honest program owners to approach, and stopped thinking of money in terms of dollars per hour. Basically anything I earned through clicking and didn't have the opportunity to spend from my bank account was money well earned. I just let the funds collect in several accounts and a month later, I was seeing the possibility of pay outs to my payment processor.
I didn't cash out most of the minimum payment amounts for most programs because I wanted to re-invest properly when I got paid and put the click program earnings into something that would bring in money more rapidly.
Sometimes this meant forwarding funds into upgrades in programs (actually, I am not upgraded at very many programs yet but upgrades in most legitimate PTC/PTR doesn't prevent members from being paid). Sometimes this has meant just letting some funds sit in my PayPal or Payza accounts until I figure out a good place for investing funds to make more money.
In short, PATIENCE, CONSISTENCY and a tight rein on funds (no spending five dollars here and two dollars there) are all things I had to learn were important for making my hours online with PTC/PTR clicking worthwhile.
I learned to work up to 50 programs per day (I have cut back after earning and receiving payouts because I need to feel comfortable with working online, not overloaded by tiny tasks for hours on end), keep my emails organized, use multi-tabbed browsers so that I could get the most clicks happening at one time - thus increasing the worth of the clicking activities for me.
Working with click programs is a little like being the one on the street who will pick up a penny on the street, go home and put it in a jar - EVERY TIME a penny is seen. At the end of a year, there are dollars to take to the bank or a nice purchase can be made for something wanted but not written into the budget. Those who laughed all year long because you picked up pennies aren't buying themselves a surprise treat or anything. Maybe they will continue to laugh. Maybe not - however, it doesn't really matter WHAT they think or do... it matters that you ended up with some extra money for picking up things others felt were useless and of no value.
